About Us
TEDxCamden is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals through ideas. We aim to foster an environment for spreading ideas, with live speakers, serving as a means to inspire deep discussions and connections between individuals with various backgrounds. We also hope to challenge the community to think critically and be motivated to make a positive impact on our world.

Our core team, consisting of finance, marketing, logistics, curation, and technology team members, is quite aspirational, working every day to bring a TEDx Conference that is accessible to multiple communities. Through our TEDx chapter, we aim to amplify the voices that bring ideas worth sharing and share their unique stories with our community and the world beyond it. With the support of our community and sponsors we showcase our mission to make great ideas attainable and spark conversations that would otherwise not occur.
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED, the national organization, has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxCamden, where x represents independently organized TED event. At our TEDxCamden event, we will combine live speakers, performances, and TED Talks to spark deep discussions and connections. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
The mission of our organization is to build a collaborative experience that inspires others to purposeful action. We aim to promote collaboration between all schools, organizations, community leaders to inspire positive change and create a TEDx event.
We aim to foster the ideas of TED, “believing passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately the world.” TEDxCamden will bring together leading thinkers, performers, and doers as speakers to share ideas that can make an impact in any discipline.
